A New Chapter for the Traveling Scholar

If you guys have followed all (or any!) of my travels this year, you know that I’ve had an amazing experience in Europe. I love Europe and feel more at home in this part of the world than in the US. That being said, I think I’ve done well to explore loads of amazing countries (read about my European Excursions here) and get a feel for what Europe has to offer. By no means am I done here. I know  that I’ll return to London at some point and would always jump at the chance to head back to Italy or Spain, yet the European chapter of the Traveling Scholar’s adventures is coming to a close. It’s time for new adventures; time to meet new people, learn a new language and experience an entirely new culture.

While I don’t want to jinx myself here, I am pretty confident that all of my coming adventures will happen as planned and I am very optimistic about the future. I’ve begun working with my soon-to-be employer and am looking at getting my International Driving Permit in the coming weeks. While I’m a bit nervous to embark on an entirely new journey, this year has certainly taught me that pushing myself out of my comfort zone can lead to truly amazing things.

For those of you that don’t know where I’m going yet… well, I’m gonna leave you hanging for a bit (but feel free to take a guess in the comment area)! Let me just say: it’s going to be an entirely different adventure. Get ready for more travels and incredible adventures coming December 2010/January 2011! Until then, stay tuned as I spent the next few months exploring London and California.

Love from London,
