MSc from LSE with High Merit!

The news just came in: I am an official graduate of LSE with a (High) Merit! I had wanted a distinction but ended up with a 69.4 — soooo close. I think the High Merit vs. Distinction classification process is a bit more complex than that, but I’m still really excited with the outcome. To top it off I got a distinction on my dissertation, a 78!

As I was telling my dad this morning (when I broke the news), I think I’m most happy with the final grades because my parents can kind of/sort of see the fruits of my labor. Whether I got a 50 or a 90, I would have still ended up with an MSc and I’m sure my parents would be happy either way. To have finished with a decent mark, though, I think helps them realize that I wasn’t just gallivanting around Europe or d*cking around in London — I was actually working! I can’t believe this year has actually come and gone. Now that I have my grades in, I’m hoping to actually book a ticket to London to celebrate with my fellow Social Policy kiddos and other LSE friends!

Congrats to everyone at LSE who finished their MSc — we did it!
