Next to the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale and front row seats to a Bill Easterly lecture, three-day weekends are my favorite thing. I had originally begun planning a three day getaway to San Diego, but that vacay didn’t pan out quite as planned. With that going a bit awry, I had expected to have a rather low-key weekend, relaxing with the family and playing a mean game of Scattergories. Instead, my weekend plans have gone from boring to overstimulating in the last twenty-four hours.
Instead of a rainy Saturday in Sacramento, my friend, H., and I are making our way to San Francisco to have a fun day in the city. When she realized she had a shirt to return to Zara, she was quick to propose the idea of a city getaway. Never ones to waste an excuse to head to SF, we quickly built an entire day around a borderline-absurd reason for an excursion. After laying out our Saturday, I got a call from an office in LA about scheduling an interview (fingers crossed!). I quickly accepted and scheduled a time for Monday to head down to SoCal. Since heading down to LA for one day seemed less than reasonable, I planned on heading down Sunday and staying through Monday. Being the good friend that she is, H., opted to join me for the ride! I’m more than excited to head back down to LA for a couple of days, and our Santa Monica hotel will be a perfect way to cap off a three day weekend. Spanish latte at Urth, anyone?
Stay tuned for city to city madness this weekend.
xoxo,
