Celebrations in the City

Happy 60th, Granny & Pa!

The timing was perfect. As if to act as inspiration for our upcoming nuptials, Boat Shoe Boy and I celebrated his grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary with a surprise jaunt in the city. We’ve been talking about this for months as his parents, aunts and uncles hammered out the logistics, and it was even more awesome than I could have imagined.

Grandsons (minus one!)

The dinner took place at Waterbar on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. The views were stunning and the upstairs event room made for incredible pictures. Before dining though, we hopped on a trolley and made our way around the city and over the Golden Gate Bridge. The entire party was a surprise for his grandparents, and having nearly the entire family there to celebrate was clearly a great experience.

Cheers!

The Waterbar setup was flawless. Pictures of his grandparents from their wedding day were enlarged and showcased throughout the dining area. Favors (custom M&Ms!) were sitting perfectly at each place. Every detail was clearly thought out and the result was perfect.

Love this shot.

At Waterbar. Gorgeous backdrop.

Family!

Lovebirds.

So, cheers to you, Granny and Pa (if you’re reading this)! Congratulations on sixty years of marriage. Thank you for being such a great inspiration for Boat Shoe Boy and I!

xoxo,
