City Tour

One of Boat Shoe Boy’s best friends from college is in town for the month of July. He’s stationed a bit outside of the city undertaking a medical rotation so naturally, he’s spent the weekends hanging out and exploring the city. He came into town last weekend (along with my friend, H.) so we spent some time enjoying city life and playing tour guide.

Here are some snapshots of our mini walking tour in SF on Sunday morning, starting at the Ferry Building (where I said goodbye to H. as she departed for Sacramento).

Departing the Ferry Building after a round of oysters.

Still don't know why this is there…

Red's — right next to where the new Warriors stadium will be.

We considered heading back at this point, but instead decided to make our way to SOMA and pass by the ballpark while the game was going on.

A little Giants fan.

AT&T Park

We grabbed a late lunch at Public House, which is huge and delicious if you’re looking for great bar food (think awesome nachos, burgers & sweet potato fries). We were there when the game ended so the place turned into an absolute madhouse towards the end. We ended up walking the majority of the way back home from there (since getting a cab wasn’t going to happen), burning off our not-so-healthy lunch and taking advantage of the sunshine.

In other news, there are officially two weeks until Boat Shoes and I depart for Anguilla! We’ll be down there for Carnival but we’ll also be scouting out vendors during this excursion. So excited for sunshine and sand. Ahhh.

xoxo,
