Friends in the City!

Tuesday marked a busy day of rendezvous. Two groups came into Northern California for a long 4th of July celebration and I was able to see them both (separately) yesterday. The first highly-anticpiated meet-up was with one of my good friends, her husband, and their new baby. They moved to Minneapolis last year and I haven’t seen them as a group since the baby was born. I had been stalking her relentlessly on Facebook and Instagram but seeing in her person absolutely made my life!

My new little nugget of love.

With Mama Bear.

She’s getting ready to turn seven months old, so naturally I discussed her ability to potentially walk a straight line down an aisle in a year’s time. I tend to think that’s pushing it a little bit (though, admittedly, my knowledge of child development is lacking), but considering the whole point of a flower girl is to exude cuteness, I think she’s golden.

Afterwards, Boat Shoe Boy and I met up and headed down to San Mateo to meet up with my El Salvadoran family. I haven’t seen then in a long time (since my trip to El Salvador in 2006), so I was excited to catch up and meet their newest addition.

Such a cute little family :)

Family

We have a pretty big year of adventure planning ahead, but a trip to El Salvador is creeping on to our agenda for 2014. Maybe a little one year anniversary action in Central America?

Needless to say, it was busy post-work day, but it was so amazing getting to see so many people! Best Tuesday ever.

xoxo,
