Sis in the City

I was uploading some pictures from my iPhone and ran across these photos from a few weeks ago when my sister/Maid of Honor was in town! I never get to see her anymore (you’d be surprised how much a two hour drive gets in the way), so it was so fun getting to spend some quality time together in San Francisco.

T. getting into town — thanks Amtrak!

I haven’t had any girl-only wedding planning/chatting time, so we spent a couple of hours talking about the wedding and trying on dresses. All in all, I’ve not really enjoyed the dress part of this process (it seems like such a ridiculous expense to me, and the dresses are way too foofy for my taste) but it was a fun experience for us to enjoy together.

MOH snapping a shot after a dress trial.

We hit up Tacolicious in the Marina that night where we noshed on tacos and sipped on margaritas until we met up with Boat Shoe Boy and his crew of guys for a final stop at the Tipsy Pig (God forbid I not cap off the night with a Strawberry Fields).

Saturday was a fun day of lunching in North Beach and then meeting up with friends for adventures in the Haight/NOPA. The night started at a friend’s house for a Bon Voyage party and then morphed into an evening out as the night progressed.

Bon Voyage Party!

Modified Jenga.

We ended the night at Madrone where we grabbed a round of cocktails and danced to old-school R&B/rap (think R. Kelly & Lil Jon). I’m not sure exactly what she was expecting, but I’m pretty positive that it was way more fun than she had expected. It was a lot more fun than I anticipated, that’s for sure.

Saying goodbye. :(

Two of my most favorite people.

Tomorrow, my friend and bridesmaid, H., comes into town for the weekend. I still have zero idea what we have planned for the weekend, but I can bet that a bit of shopping will be involved! Looking forward to a fun weekend ahead.

xoxo from SF,

You both look great! I’m having trouble getting on your wedding site. It is the same site printed on your invite? Email me and let me know, I feel like I’m missing something. brittany.sowden@cvw7.navy.mil

    Love!
