For the past month I’ve been planing a surprise getaway for Boat Shoe Boy and I, and now I can finally share:
We’re going to Vegas! More specifically, we’re going to Vegas to see Garth! He knew we were heading away for the weekend (I couldn’t risk him double-booking), but wasn’t in on where we were going or what we were up to (though I’m sure everything under the sun has crossed his mind).
Right about now, we’re either sitting in a town car, on the way to SFO, or somewhere between SFO and Vegas, where we will spend our three (and a half) day weekend. It’s slated to be about 85 – 90 degrees so I imagine there will be some exploring, poolside relaxation, and many runs to Margaritaville for a delicious fix.
We’ll be checking out the late-night Garth concert on Saturday evening, so that should make for a fun way to round out this trip. We also have reservations and some awesome spots while we’re in town (I doubled up to give him a choice): Bouchon, Aquaknox, STRIPSTEAK and Fleur! If anyone has any guidance on the dining front, I’d love to hear it. I haven’t eaten at any of these spots, so I’m open to guidance and/or suggestions.
