Vegas: Night One

After a quick flight from San Francisco, we landed in Vegas around 7:30P and were met up my awesome cousin and her husband who were nice enough to give us a lift from the airport to our hotel. We soon settled into our room at the Trump (I’ll talk more about this later — got this hotel through Hotwire), organized our lives and then headed out to enjoy our first night in Sin City!

Our hotel has a shuttle that goes directly to either a) the Wynn, or b) Caesar’s Palace. We decided to bus to the latter and explore from there! It was nearly 11P by the time we sat down for dinner, but we thought it’d be a good idea to eat a proper meal at some point in the evening. We ended up popping into First Food & Bar in the Palazzo for a casual bite and then made our way to the piano bar in the Venetian to close out the night.

It was still fairly early by Vegas standards when we got back to our hotel (1:30A maybe), but we wanted to make sure we were primed and ready for the days ahead. On our schedule tonight: an impromptu trip to the Wynn to catch La Reve! My cousin and her hubby have been to loads of Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas and mentioned that La Reve tops the list. Since neither of us have seen a Cirque show, we couldn’t pass up the chance to check it out (I’ll report back tonight). Now, we’re off to Wicked Spoon for a gluttonous morning.

xoxo from Vegas!
